Transfer or Send Money with PayPal Online

Get to know how to use PayPal to transfer money!

PayPal Holdings is an online electronic money transfer system. You can use PayPal on your computer or smartphone to transfer the money, pay the bills etc.

So, if you needed to know the method through which you can transfer money using different methods, you can go through the following:

Method 1: Transfer money to the Bank Account using Phone or tablet:

• Open PayPal app.

• You need to tap on login.

• In the log in section, all you need to do is type in an email address and password of your account. You can also use the fingerprint and open PayPal if PayPal accepts Touch ID.

• You must click on Log -In button, if you entered email address and password.

• Tap on Manage Balance which is near the top of the screen.

• Tapping on Manage Balance shows current PayPal balance.

• Since you need to make a transfer, you can do it by tapping on Transfer to Bank. You can see this option in the bottom right corner of the screen.

• This transfers the money to the bank.

Method 2: Transfer Money to the Bank Account using Computer:

• Check if your computer is connected to the internet.

• Click on the browser.

• Go to the PayPal webpage.

• Log into your account by entering the Email address and password.

• Click on My PayPal.

• Tap on Transfer to your Bank, it is just below the PayPal balance window.

• In the next window, you are required to type in the amount that you need to transfer.

• Click on Continue and follow the on-screen instruction.

Method 3: Transfer money to a friend using Phone or tablet:

• Go to PayPal account.

• Tap on Log -In which is situated at the bottom left corner of the screen

• Type in the Email address and password.

• Tap on login. It takes you to the PayPal account. You can skip the step if you use Touch ID.

• Tap on Send Money. This option is on the left middle side of the screen. You can find this option just below the Send and Request heading.

• Enter an email address or phone number of the person whom you need to send the money.

• If this is the first time you are sending the money through PayPal, you are required to tap on Let’s get started. This option is present at the screen bottom.

• A list of contacts is present under the search bar and you can tap a name instead of searching.

• Tap the name of the person whom you wish to send money to.

• Tap on a payment option. When you tap on payment option, you get two options under this:
  • Friends and family: If you transfer the amount using personal payments, then, Paypal never charges any fee to the recipient.
  • Goods and Services: When you require to make business-related payments, Paypal will charge some amount.

• Tap on Send Now which you can find at the screen bottom. Once you send the money, the recipient receives notification when he or she has got the money.
  • If you need to review where the money is being sent from, you can do that. The reviewing is located at the page bottom.
  • Tap on Add a note if you wish to add a note to the payment that you have made.
  • Tap on Done once the process has been finalized.

Method 4: All you need to do is transfer money to a friend using the Computer:

It becomes easy to transfer the money using the computer when you are working on your laptop/computer. All you need to do is:

• Click on the browser.

• Navigate to the web page of Pay Pal.

• Log into your PayPal account to continue.

• Click on login button which you can find in the top right corner of the page.

• Type in the Email address and password.

• Enter the information in the middle of the page.

• Click on the login button.

• You can find the log in button below the password field on the page. Once you click on this button, you are logged into the PayPal account.

• Tap on PayPal which you can find on the top right side of the page.

• Tap on Pay or Send money which you can find near screen top.

• You get two options for making the payments:
  • Pay for goods or services: You can choose this when you require to make business-related payments. PayPal charges some amount when you choose this payment option.
  • Send money to friends and family: This is for making personal payments and when you make payment using this option, you are never charged a fee.

• Enter the email address, phone number, and name in the search bar at the page top.

• Tap on Next. This option is to the right of the text field of recipient’s name.

• Enter the amount. You can send more than you have in the PayPal account and it does not overdraw the balance, it withdraws whatever you have typed over the PayPal balance from the bank account.

• You are required to click on Add a note and all you do is type the note.

• Click on Continue which is located at the page bottom.

• Click on Send Money Now which is at the page bottom. Once you click on this button, it sends the selected amount to the person whom you need to send the money.

PayPal headquartered in California, US has spread worldwide within a decade and became a popular online payments system which supports online money transfers.

Basically, there are three categories of PayPal account which are Personal, Premier, and Business, but if you are a student, you can create the student account under any of the above mentioned three types of account.

Following description gives characteristics of the three accounts:

Personal Account: No transaction fees are levied on payments through eChecks, Instant Transfer, Paypal balance.

Premier Account: This account is meant for E-commerce sellers with higher transaction volume and those persons who need to accept credit card payments.

Transaction fees are levied when receiving payments. You can have unlimited credit card payments. There is lower fees if you receive money from credit/debit cards.

Business Account: If you are a business owner, this is suitable for you. Transaction fees are levied when receiving payments. You can make unlimited credit card payments. It involves lower fees if money is received from credit/debit cards and there is also full support to PayPal merchant services.

PayPal provides easier and safer transaction system and provides alerts for each transaction that has been made.
