Change and Reset a Dropbox Password

Dropbox is one of the modern workspaces which is designed to improve your work and save time.Dropbox helps you bring all your important files together at in one place. It is convenient to locate and sync all your important data and files on all your devices just by login into your account. You don’t have to copy all your files on all your devices.

Reset a Forgot Dropbox password

Several ways to reset your password, but the easiest is to visit the Forgot password page 

  • Now enter your email id you used while you created the account and click submit.
  • Dropbox will send a link to reset the password on your email
  • Go to your email inbox check dropbox password reset mail.
  • Now click on reset password button on email
  • And then enter your new password twice and submit
  • Congratulations Your new password is created.

If due to any reason you are not able to receive the reset link, check all the inbox folder like spam, promotion, etc. If the reset email is not there, try adding no-reply@dropbox.com to your address book and then resending the password reset email.

Change your Dropbox Password

  • Open dropbox site DROPBOX.COM
  • Log in to your account by using your email id and password
  • Now click on your name upper right corner after login to make changes to the setting
  • Click on setting and then select the security tab.
  • Now click on change password
  • Entering your old password and the new password that you want
  • Finally, your Dropbox password is changed.

If you are using Dropbox on your computer which has dropbox application linked to your system then

  • Choose the Dropbox icon in your computer menu.
  • Click on the globe icon which is the icon of your dropbox.com.
  • Now click on your name after login to make changes to the setting
  • Click on setting and then select the security tab.
  • Now click on change password
  • Enter your email id you used to create the profile, it will send a link to your email id to reset password
  • Now enter the new password you want to keep.

Note: When a user using the Dropbox app, you only need your password when you first install the app, or whenever you link or relink your computer to your Dropbox account.
